Zed Industries launched the Agent Client Protocol (ACP) with Gemini CLI as the first integration. The protocol standardizes communication between IDEs and agents.

🔄 Framework updates

Astro added experimental support for automatic Chrome DevTools workspace folders. This lets you edit CSS directly in the browser and for the changes to persist in the source files. Too bad I use Safari.

🚢 Platform changes

Vercel builds now require Node 20+. Existing deployments will still work with Node 18 but it’s advised to upgrade ASAP.

🤖 AI things

Apple released FastVLM on Hugging Face, a model that can understand images and videos in real time. It has WebGPU support, so it works in the browser!
